The intentions were good, the ideas were there…all that was lacking was the time! This blog is being sadly neglected. Events are coming and going with no mention. Dogs are posing and playing…no mention!
So here is a new leaf…it is being turned over with good intentions.
Firstly I shall mention the British Eventing at Llanymynech on the weekend of 1st and 2nd September. This was the event that my niece Abi came into her own as a photographer. She had covered a few smaller events for CountryStyle Photography but, after two ten hour days in the showjumping ring with only very short breaks between classes, that weekend she proved herself a very worthy member of the CountryStyle team.
Another event we enjoyed recently was the Albrighton Hunt Pony Club Hunter Trials at Woodside Farm, Gnosall…the day that summer finally arrived!
Hawkstone Scenic Funride was enjoyed yesterday by 296 riders…the weather was beautiful, the scenery stunning, and the crops harvested just in the nick of time…
We have photographed many dogs recently and enjoyed them all. We have also visited Hilbrae Rescue Kennels several times to photograph the long term residents, and hopefully do a little bit towards finding them new homes. 
The staff do a fantastic job at Hilbrae…and I have said that any dogs that don’t find homes Richard and I will take ourselves. Richard is a little concerned about this and is not sleeping well at present!
It seems like Funride season is upon us and we are looking forward to three more funrides in September. These are as follows:
The North Shropshire Hunt Battlefield Funride on Sunday 16th September
The South Shropshire Hunt Church Pulverbatch Funride on Sunday 23rd September
The Wheatland Hunt Larden Grange Funride on Sunday 30th September.
These are all great rides…winter will soon be upon us so get out there and enjoy yourself…make hay whilst the sun shines!
